Declan

Another parentless dragon left on Ursula's doorstep, but his story is more tragic than just being an orphan. Ursula who runs the orphanage named him Declan, I suppose in hopes that he would always be good. But he was a Mirror dragon from the Arcane clan, and Ursula was and still is deathly afraid of Mirrors. After she took him in, she had nightmares about the other little hatchlings becoming prey....she couldn't look at him and see that he was unusually gentle and just wanted a home. So, she bought a breed change scroll, and made him into a fae dragon, much cheaper to feed since she had already wasted money on him!
The change in breed, however, allowed him to better communicate with his best friend Serena. However, he did retain something from his brief Mirror existence, he always knows who his friends are; and when Serena left to go home to build her own lair he insisted on going with her. He couldn't let his best friend travel such a long way without his protection. He always wanted to help where he was needed, for some reason he never really had a predatory nature, so I guess Ursula actually did do what was best for him, and not just for her!

Everyone always thought he would mate with Anastasia since he was always so protective of her, but she was always one of his closest friends.
