This ghost is very protective of the clan leader, though he is not one of the clan. Many suspect he believes the clan leader to be his own Matriarch, who was murdered in his charge. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen, and others suspect the ghost perhaps killed his Matriarch and is trying to atone. Either way, this ghost is often seen in the shadows near the leader's residence and is known to whisper eerie things to those who come too near.

Watchdog is spotted rarely around the clan. Most members have glimpsed him at times, some more than others. Aqueous has seen him the most, as Watchdog is usually some place near to her. If spotted he does not move, he will just fade into the shadows when he decides he's ready. The clan was wary of him at first, however after he appeared to stop Aqueous from having a terrible fall, his presence is accepted. Sometimes other ghostly spirits are seen in his area, whether he communes with them or not is unclear.

When Venus materialised with the intent of joining the clan, Watchdog sightings became a little more frequent. Although Venus does not speak of Watchdog, it appears likely that the two have struck up some kind of camaraderie that Venus intends to keep for himself. Venus is a vexing spirit.
