Ruse comes from a strong clan in the Great Furnace. As a young girl she enjoyed dancing and the arts, and inherited her parents extroverted and curious personality. Flexible and full of energy, she quickly did her best to learn as much about acrobatics as possible. When she came of age, and began to think of leaving her birth clan, she looked for places with dancers like her, finding Cruko dancing for a neighboring clan, and asked him where he learned.

Since then she has enjoyed her time in Arcane. She learned fast from Cruko, and even the young Mnemosyne (while she still danced). In time she became bored of the usual, dancing was fine for her, but it wasn't as daring as she had hoped. So she started to learn how to contort herself, eventually learning balance and juggling acts. She picks up new skills well, but prefers to perfect her old acts and add to them overtime. She hopes to preform for more than just her clan one day. In her spare time she hangs out with the rest of the performers, teasing Spartan, and loving to hear Iso play music. Sometimes even going out with them to drink at Loughran's tea house, though they are sure to baby her and refuse to let her sneak sips of their stronger drinks. Ruse is also a little lucky in that she is one of the few dragons in the clan with a strong surviving family.
