P E R S O N A L I T Y
Orion is a charming but introverted dragon, preferring to keep his own company. He enjoys the peace and quiet of the Observatory where he can work, studying the stars with Andromeda close by. He has a gentle nature, always choosing kindness and never rising to anger. This has helped him immensely when tutoring the younger dragons who've shown a keen interest in the Observatory - as hatchlings can be a force of nature in. Orion appreciates their energy and excitement, but watches them closely around the more delicate objects within the tower. Once they are ready, he teaches them to operate the various devices within the Observatory. For those with both the desire and aptitude, he offers apprenticeship so that they may eventually join the team with a title of their own.

B A C K G R O U N D
Previously a resident of the Hewn City, Orion worked as an Astronomer there. He had always wished to travel but between his belongings, equipment and growing collection of books he knew it would be impossible on his own. He yearned for companionship, particularly an academic partner with whom he could study the stars. That fated night watching the meteor showers brought him more than he could've ever hoped for in the form of Andromeda, by an academic equal and a dragon he was head over claws for. He joined the clan for Andromeda, but rapidly came to call them all family for the love and warmth they showed him. |

Skilled with magic, Orion is a keen wielder of light. He has been supporting Andromeda's research into the possibilties of harnessing the light powers of the sunduring the day and the night with great sucesses. Although his mastery will never match that of hers, he is proud of his achievements and even more so of what Andromeda has achieved. |

Orion is deeply dedicated to the study of celestial phenomena, particular charting distant stars, planets and galaxies. He has a small desk area which he shares with his mate Andromeda in the observatory covered with scrolls and journals filled with their research. |

Andromeda and Orion met in the Hewn City, both there to watch the winter meteor showers. Excited to meet another dragon so interested in the complexities of space, they hit it off immediately and talked until the sun rose in the sky. Unable to bear losing his first academic equal, Orion asked her to travel Sornieth with him. Andromeda immediately agreed but only on the condition they would travel with Clan Arcadya on their airship as she could not stand to leave her closest friends. Orion tentatively accepted her conditions, returning to the airship with her and instantly delighted to find the well-equipped Observatory. They spent many late nights there, curled up together discussing the stars and it wasn't long before they admitted there was more than friendship between them. |
