Blue-Blooded Benevolence
Growing up, Flaunt developed a powerful ego, all too quick to judge others and let praise go to his head. His arrogance and tendency to act like a spoiled Pearlcatcher had left his clanmates with rather bitter impressions of him. More understanding dragons will know his harsh attitude was a poor defense mechanism to cover his own fragility.
As the Clan grew and rumors spread, his condescending attitude toward them came back around to bite him. After being confronted by his (unsurprisingly) numerous unhappy Clanmates, for the first time in his life, the adolescent Skydancer had the biting realization that his own ego got in the way of caring about others, only serving to drive them away until he had only himself. Alone.
Resentful toward himself and his attitude, he began to train, resolved to prove to his Clanmates (and himself most of all) his worth as a dragon. Years of training and discipline led him to develop into the warrior he is today, and countless times since, he's proved himself a reliable, loyal, and valiant Clanmate.
All this being said, he still holds great pride in himself and his abilities, and doesn't take kindly to others' doubts or insults.
