Zephyrus' heart lay in the sky, constantly blown by the wind to faraway places and pulling his longing for travel taught. He wants nothing more than to be in the air at every waking moment. His love for flying led to his status as Travel Messenger, replacing the now retired Hermes.
Zephyrus is the public face of communications. He transmits basic information such as trade agreements, meeting requests, emergency notices, policy announcements, etc. Some areas in the Realm are dangerous to travel through, but Zephyrus is a quick learner and knows a great deal of defensive and evasive maneuver techniques. Zephyrus sends Crane ahead of their trails to find possible attackers. He knows all the birds in the Realm on a first name basis, and some never quite leave him alone.
Zephyrus grew up on the outskirts of the city nearest to the Forbidden Wood, Ardenstone. He grew up with a playful and curious family. When his father brought Caerus home, he was ecstatic to make a new friend who was so different. In the years that followed, the two traveled to the city often and eventually befriended Zeus, the second child of Ardenstone's leader.
