PONTUS

PROFILE
Pontus is the patriarch of the tribe and is considered an elder by most. He is the husband of Thalassa, the original heir of her family's tribe. Unknown to most, but, Pontus was raised as a hunter by a nearby tribe. His life was full of blood and the primal urge to survive - never knowing peace. However, he was lucky and defected from his home, seeking a change - and that change was Thalassa. Kākahi Kaititiro reluctantly took him in, but, over the years Pontus became one of their trusted guards. He ascended with Thalassa to lead the tribe in her parent's passing. Together, they have four children, Berkeley, Marinus, Marna, and Rae, the latter was adopted after her egg was discovered by a border patrol. Pontus comes across as a very harsh paternal figure to his sons, but, to his daughters, he is doting and very indulgent of their wishes. He originally had hopes that one of his sons would follow in his footsteps to lead Kākahi Kaititiro, but, as the years pass, he believes Marna will be much more suited to that role.
