Avrae, a wanderer from the Deep Wilds, now matriarch of a Venerable Lair and beloved beloved mate of Drask.

Once there was a young dragon, who was the last off spring of a lesser Fae matriarch, and who would receive not inheritance except for a piece of jewelry made of beads, bones, and feathers to drape over her wings. Thus she left her home.

For many years she wandered, learning magic and growing in power, until she met a dragon unlike any other. A Tundra dragon of great strength but kind of heart. The two decided eventually to travel together, and combine their strengths. Over time they grew close and he made for her a ruby bracelet to place around her leg and offered to settle down and have a family together.

Shortly after this, the pair laid their first clutch of two eggs, which hatched into Twin Fae dragons, Xavar and Kayel, bother and sister. Next, was what would have been a clutch of three. Two were healthy, but the last died as it hatched, returning immediately to the Shadowbinder. As the hatchlings grew to adulthood, and more wandering dragons joined their little clan.

Over time, the clan grew larger, and Avrae began sharing her magic. She now leads a circle of magic users of all types.
