SjenaHunter is what one might call a bit of a late bloomer. He was so comfortable in his cozy little egg that he just didn’t want to come out and so he was most content to stay put where he could sleep and listen to his mother’s singing. That was until the singing stopped. He knew his mother would sometimes leave him, but she always returned again (usually with a new song). Only this time she didn’t. He grew lonely quickly and, to make matters worse, he started to get cold. For as long as he could he waited for his mother to return. Time dragged on and on and as his little bones grew ever colder he realized she wasn’t coming back; no one was coming back. With little recourse in the matter he decided to leave his egg.
It took little to break free from his shell and he wiggled himself out from under a pile of dead leaves and sticks, eager to set his eyes on his home and maybe his missing mother. What his little eyes encountered would leave the first of many scars on his soul. The nest he lay in was a tattered mess; sundered and dismantled violently. Bits of eggshell lay scattered all over along with what remained of his siblings. Naturally, SejnaHunter didn’t understand what his newly awakened eyes were bearing witness too, but instinctively he understood that he should be frightened of it. With a quivering little voice he called out for the only protection he knew. His words carried on the wind to reach no ear. He was completely alone. He sat for days waiting for someone, anyone, to come get him. The carrion bugs that rooted through the remains of his home sustained him for a while, until even they vanished. Eventually, he understood that there was no one left to come for him and on that day he took his first steps beyond his nest. The world beyond was larger than he could have ever imagined. The wildwood beyond his decimated home quickly swallowed him whole and before he even really understood what was going on he was being tossed from one place to another by a cruel fate. This was his early life, raised by the wilds and dependent on the few kindhearted. It did not take him long to understand that the small had to rely on the big to survive in this world. Over the years, SejnaHunter muddled out a living for himself as one ruffian’s lackey or another. His self taught book keeping and silver tongue managed to keep him alive. From one bad deal to another he bounced all around the Veridian Labyrinth. It got to the point that he had more enemies then friends. Or that is to say he had more drakes demanding their money then ones that were satisfied with his debts. Concerned for his well being, he went searching for someone that could keep him safe until he could get out of his debts. He searched until he heard about a powerful and kind hearted shaman. She was a guardian to boot, that was as big as you could get. SejnaHunter searched high and low for her with his collectors hot on his heels, until finally he ran into the wandering Guardian. It took little to hook up with her; honestly the only thing he had to do was follow her. His plan worked, so long as he was with such an opposing guardian no one would mess with him. With his debtors off of his back for a little while he could collect himself and start working to free himself of his burdens. That had been the plan anyway, after spending so much time with Spring SejnaHunter actually came to like her. He could see greatness brewing within her soul and he couldn’t understand why, but he developed a strong desire to see her achieve it. Moreover, he wished to be part of it. This was his chance to be more than just a nameless dreg existing from one bad situation to another. When Spring finally found a place to settle he took on the burden of handling the financial and political affairs of the budding clan. Today, SejnaHunter still aids in the growth and development of the clan and attends his duty most seriously. Finally free of his debts, he breathes easy knowing that the threats of his past are finally gone. He is surrounded by good drakes (even if he won’t let them know that) that care for him. It was a long journey from the moment he stepped out of that nest to now, but he knew that this was home, where he would stay for the rest of his life.
