Zekiye

Zekiye: 'Intelligent' in Turkish

Born a Pearlcatcher to parents of the same breed, Zekiye was transformed via scroll at the command of the Wheel Matriarch when she was still a hatchling. She received her name from her mother just after the decree was made, the gift of a name from a language of the 'Second Age' a particularly significant gesture amongst their Clan.

Zekiye has never asked her mother why she chose that particular name, but often after a battle it haunts her, as she withdraws from the predatory instinct of her Wildclaw nature, and recalls what it is to genuinely think about the lives she has taken.

Though officially Second Warrior, Zekiye is viewed by most in the Clan as the actual head of their fighters. She most frequently heads the parties who fight for honor and riches in the Coliseum, and has a certain innate talent for physical battle imbued with the deadly magic of her Pearlcatcher past. The pendant she wears enhances her natural Lightning energies, but at a cost: her veins are now flooded with the violet light at all times, a pulsating glow of power from beneath her once pure-white flesh.
