When he first arrived, he was old. Older than the clan, itself. Those who still survived the Illness looked up to him... but only in observance of his age. They knew damn well who their leaders were. The Matriarchy kept them remembering.

Valkind is soft, but sharp. He is kind, but mean-mouthed. He is slow, but can snap To. He would kill a hatchling and blame it on '''Exaltation''' before admitting, but he also knows the softness of kindness and compasison. This piece of 5h17 dragon is especially slimy to new folk who pass through. Beware Valkind unless you belong to the Clan of the Jackal. He will not tolerate anyone other than the shadow clan who bore him.

Valkind was once long forgotten, sickly, aged. An illness still covers him as he passes through the shadow clan. So long as a hatchling does not get close, they are typically okay. But he has spread his disease to others. Easily, he has submitted others to his muscle deteriorating disease, the atrophy clinging to all that he touches, talks to, and looks at. It is entirely his Plagueling heritage... but he is still sought after by the Matriarchy on certain subjects, so he has yet to be ejected from the clan.

41 clanners have died since his arrival, not all of them from his sickness.
