Gloomshade is the Clan deputy, the second in command. The highest rank under Rowan. And unlike Rowan Gloomshade takes her job pretty seriously. Gloomshade doesn't have a mate but has had plenty children. She can seem sort of cold-hearted at first but really does care underneath. Gloomshade is a little more harsh on newcomers but she trusts Rowan's judgement. She secretly believes she would be a better Clan leader but would never try to take leadership from her.

Gloomshade used to be in a Lightning flight Clan but left in search of something more. She joined the Clan when there were less than 60 dragons. Her natural leadership and trustworthiness caused her to quickly rise through the ranks and before long Rowan and Spartan were asking her to be the second in command.
