tumblr_oful75ZgcQ1tqy48mo1_400.png Coal wasn't the best at socializing in her old clan. She preferred following her mom around; picking up every little bit of magic she could. Furthermore, talking to others without weirding them out wasn't really her forte. She guessed she took after her mom in that sense.

For a long time, the little tricks her mom sometimes did were all Coal needed to feel complete, but as time passed, Coal grew more and more restless: the world was so huge and there was so much to be learned! How could her mom feel content staying in this little corner of a much larger universe?

However, try as she might, Coal was never able to convince her mom to leave the clan together, so she took matters into her own hands. With only the clothes on her body and the knowledge in her head, she said goodbye to her mom and left. The night was October 31st. It was cold and dark. The landscape glistened under the moonlight like the sparkles at her fingertips. It was perfect.

Unable to contain herself, Coal suddenly burst out laughing. She spun wildly in the near darkness. Any onlooker would have thought her mad, but she didn't care.

Freedom, unlimited time and space to explore... what a time to be alive.
