A child born in the midst of a war that has since slipped out of memory, Tiamat has not aged into their scars well. A heaviness weighs on their shoulders, and their battle-worn hide leaves no room to question their strength. Indeed, any dragon that meets them cannot deny how plague has tempered them, despite their magic leaning towards the arcane in moments of outrage.

Tiamat upholds the unenviable position of guarding and maintaining the blighted crypts. The tunnels and dens carved into the frozen earth have been long since abandoned by the beings that made them, leaving only barren rooms and unstable shelves of tarnished treasures, scrimshaw pieces, and crumbling weaponry. Their calm and even-keeled demeanor has drawn many wayward dragons to their side, interrupting their desired solitude with companionship and care - it is not something Tiamat remembers having need of, but it is not something they would blithely refuse, either.

Turn your mind to brighter days. Remember the warmth of the sun. Persevere.

— Tiamat is simply old and has chronic pain and brain fog. They have some shame around this, but that shame is quite thoroughly stamped out by the other crypt-dwellers.
— They are held in high esteem by the Plague dragons that pass by on their pilgrimage to the Wyrmwound.
