The Tyrell Family is one of the wealthiest and most powerful of the Nature clans, controlling much of the Gladeveins and feeding all of Sornieth. The Tyrell family is well known for constant power struggles and alliances with the other powerful families in Sornieth, Lannister Light clan, the Stark Ice clan, the Baratheon Lightning clan, the Martell Earth clan, and the Targaryen Fire clan. For a while, the Tyrell's were allied with the Baratheons, specifically the younger Baratheon, Renly, who was trying to take the throne from his brother. Renly and Loras were mated to each other, both of them working towards putting Renly on the throne. All was going well, until Renly's older brother, Stannis, allied himself with a Shade cult that used blood magic to kill Renly. Heartbroken and out of allies, Loras and Margaery turned to the Lannisters to secure power. Unfortunately, the Tyrells learned the hard way that Lannisters were never to be trusted, and when a powerful religious cult began to take hold in the Mirrorlight Promenade, Margaery and Loras found themselves thrown to the wolves. Even though Margaery was mated to Cersei's son, Cersei had no qualms with trying to kill her daughter-in-law. When Tommen discovered Margaery's apparent death, the Imperial boy killed himself in grief.

Even with the loss of her mate, Margaery remains strong, guiding her brother to safety where they can recoup and attempt to retake the Gladeveins. So far, the Targaryens seem to be their best bet, so the siblings have relocated to the Ashfall Waste to try and negotiate an alliance. For now, they live with a small agrarian clan that's willing to hide them from the Lannister's eyes. Margaery regrets that she can not do more to help her current clan, but engaging with other clans as a diplomat would certainly reveal her location to the Lannisters, so instead she stays within the camp and helps organize things. She has a knack for planning meals and making the most of the clan's food supplies, which has endeared her towards Zdravka, the chef. For now, the two will remain hidden within the Clan of Milk and Honey, but soon, the Lannisters will pay for what they did.
