With nothing left on land, Lazue set to the sea. There was no family to tie them down, and friends were better called associates, only to be parted with at the end of a job. And as much as Lazue loved the sea, the sea loved them back. It was a common joke in their circle that Lazue had been born blind, and had only learned to see when the ocean kissed their skin. As silly as it is, Lazue never once denied it, and instead embraced any scandal involving the waters.

Shipwrecked and adrift on the remains of a splintered ship, they were found by the Miasma. Qliphoth wasted no time imprisoning the stranger, only to realize their reputation proceeded them. Utilizing Lazue's abilities at scouting, Qliphoth was able to make it back to the S.I. docks in record time. He then offered them a spot on their ship, which they accepted in return for an unlimited supply of drinks and a promise of a good time.
