Boundless energy rushes through this dragon, infusing her entire being with wild abandon. It is exactly this energy that must have allowed her egg to survive the wilds, tucked away in a cozy cavern beneath the ice flows. When a clan found her on a scouting mission, they took her egg home with them. For a while, she remained in her shell, not ready to come out. Maybe it was the cold, curling down into her new bones and the thin membranes of her wings. Try as they might, the ice clan could never get her to hatch. The various ways of incubating her egg all were for naught, as she stayed firmly put inside. It appeared she would never hatch, that the egg was a dud. The ice clan put her into their storage and nearly forgot about her.

On a warm summer day, with the light from the sun beaming down and the clan welcoming the brief respite from the bitter cold, she hatched. Out of the egg came a bundle of energy that seemed to have built up over the time she lay in hibernation. The little guardian sped around the clan wildly, excited by all the new things. They loved her and welcomed her into their fold, excited that she had finally come out of her shell and joined them. Although no dragon could tell what it was that made her leave the egg, they were unanimously pleased she had done so since it had been so long since finding her. Soon, however, she was found to be not at all suited for the bitter weather of the Southern Icefields. She was sent north, to live with a clan of dragons who specialized in caring for those without parents. The shadow clan was easily the best place Rasp had been so far - it was where she got her nickname and where she learned her first bits of dragon history. It was also where she decided that learning was for those who had longer attention spans.

Reading and writing are two of Rasp's least favorite things to do, preferring to play outside and explore. She is a natural forager and will return from her brief exploits with treasures and knick knacks that she has found. Despite refusing to sit still long enough to learn anything from a book, Rasp is incredibly popular in the clan. So many dragons enjoy her company that there is almost always someone willing to accompany her on little adventures. If she is not up for an exploration, it is cause for concern. She may be ill, or she may be upset. No dragon wants to see her upset and they will dote on her when she isn't feeling her normally exuberant self.

She is quite daring, often taking on challenges that other dragons might hesitate on. There have been times where she has gotten into trouble by being so bold. Running into enemy beastclan members, falling out of trees that she was told were too high to climb, and getting in the way of a sparring match are just a few of the things she has done. It doesn't help that any dragon can dare her to do something and, if it is within her power, she will certainly try it out. Eating weird things, playing pranks on the older members of the clan, anything is fair game in Rasp's world and she will do almost anything for a laugh and the company of other dragons.

Sometimes, Rasp will get a little too rowdy for Skywalker's likes. Although Skywalker does enjoy the company of the guardian, she will sometimes get cross with her. The usual punishment is simply not speaking to her, which drives Rasp crazy. If there is one way to get her to behave, its threatening the silent treatment. She has the best intentions and shouldn't be punished for trying to do the right thing. She might need a little guidance on how to relax a bit, how to curb her enthusiasm for life and live a little more in the middle lane instead of passing everyone by in the fast lane.
