Messenger
The eldest son of Nymph and Birch, two of the first dragons to join Floret and Latte in their attempt to start a new clan. Without the help of his parents, the founders would not have been able to succeed.
Due to this, Ash feels the need to make his own place in the clan and help it grow as much as possible. So, he's become a messenger; the one who takes care of all cross-clan communications or even between two clan members.
Another reason he's become the messenger is because he loves to fly. He feels most comfortable when in the air, so much so that many in the clan joke about how he's really a wind dragon in disguise. That maybe a stray wind egg rolled into Nymph and Birch's nest while they weren't looking and the hatchling seemed to have similar enough colouring that they didn't bother to notice he didn't belong.
Many wind dragons are actually surprised he's not one of them. In many of his travels to wind, his flying skills and his happiness to be in the air have gotten him into some pretty strange conversations, mostly around "Why are your eyes so dark? You almost look like one of the Gladekeeper's children!" "... I am one of the Gladekeeper's children."
But in all seriousness, it seems as though he was built to fly. With the largest wingspan of his three littermates, as well as the smallest weight (Oh my goodness Oak, how did you reach nearly 800kg??!? I'm at 465!!), Ash takes to the sky as easily as a kite on a windy day. Sometimes he has to fight the wind to stay on the ground, when he's not in the forest, of course.
