______ Petals was hatched in a small daisy patch, and as she grew, she noticed that she practically shed petals. Thus, she was appropriately named.
Flower petals followed her like a swarm of bugs. Dragons thought it was cool, or pretty. She agreed most of the time, but there were moments where she didn’t like them. Where she wished that it’d never happened.
But you can’t change fate.
Petals, feeling a duty, an obligation, to care for flowers, soon took up the job of gardener. She easily learned how to meet each plant’s specific needs, and soon her petals found a use.
The shed petals that just floated to the ground to sit and decompose became fertilizer.
The day she arrived at her clan, she went to see if there was a garden, or if there were any way she could start one.
She met a Coatl, Spicata, who, thankfully, allowed her to help out with the garden.
So the two quickly became a team.
They worked smoothly and efficiently together.
Petals worked a lot. She always seemed to be in the garden patch, doing one thing or another. She worked endlessly, making sure everything was in order, that no infestations or problems had come up.
Though she liked the job, she sometimes got tired of it.
But she had to do it, she thought, shaking her leg, watching a few petals fall to the ground.
Where she was hatched sealed her fate, and she wasn’t about to stray from it.
She needed to take of the flowers that kept her egg safe.
It was that simple.
