B I O G R A P H Y

Apollo was a feisty youth from a Lightning clan far from the Light border. When the voice at his birth took his mother's tongue to name him, both of his parents became frightened and distanced the strange qit from his brothers as much as they could. Despite their silent wishes that perhaps Apollo would wish to leave for travel, it was their other son -- Gal -- who left for Arcane territory in search of enlightenment.

Apollo's remaining brother, Hearts, was not as discriminatory to his brother. However, as they grew older, the Wildclaw noticed the stares of his clan. Weary. Scared. Suspicious. The youthful dragon tried his best to please his clan by doing kind gestures and going out of his way to help with daily activities. It did nothing to stop the stares.

He began to get into trouble, deliberately. As his mother pleaded with the clan leader to let her son off easy, Apollo felt power drift back into his own talons. If he continued with these actions, he would have a hand in controlling why dragons were scared of him.

His actions escalated, but his mother was always there to bail him out. His father grew more and more fed up with Apollo's behavior. Hearts was beginning to miss his old brother.

When Apollo was reaching the age of maturity, a Guardian came to the clan. It informed the leader to send any qits with strange voices at their birth to the Vanguard. There they would be accepted. Apollo's father was quick to introduce his son to the Courier.

Apollo's mother promised to come visit her son once he was settled in at his new home. The Wildclaw left with the Guardian, named Malachi, and arrived in the growing Vanguard. Diablo asked him for his name's meaning.

Instantly, she appointed him to the position of Battlemaster.

TRIVIA

While Merrial still tries to keep distance from Apollo for his past behavior towards Aeneas, the Wildclaw wishes to reconnect with her. Apollo knows that he did wrong by picking fights with Aeneas so frequently.

_RIVAL AND LOVE_

____Dragons here looked upon Apollo with... praise. He did well in his job, training the two dragons under his command -- Anju and Artemisia. Strangely enough, Apollo found himself liking his job. Liking the Vanguard.

It made his claws twitch as he searched for a way to release his frustrations when they came about. Before, he had indulged in minor theft from other clan members. Now, he hesitated. And because of his hesitation, minor bothers grew into festering annoyances.

Apollo found his outlet in Aeneas, the Vanguard's Shaman and Battlemage. The Skydancer was a wise, musing outsider. He always sat back and listened, eyes closed. The first vent started when the clan's officials were holding a meeting -- Diablo, Malachi, Kaiser, Apollo, Aeneas, and Catherine. Sitting next to the Shaman, the Wildclaw began to pester and prod him silently, interrupting the other dragon's concentration.

Things quickly escalated into Aeneas blasting a ball of concentrated Earth energy into the Wildclaw's face. The rest of the circle went quiet and Apollo picked himself up from the ground and retaliated. They began fighting and once the first drop of blood fell, a third rushed in and separated the smaller dragons.

Anju kept Apollo away from Aeneas, her efforts doubled once the Shaman took on a daughter by way of the Pearlcatcher, Merrial. Eventually, due to her constant pretense at his side, Apollo named Anju his Second in Command and asked her to be his mate.
