It was a dark, restless night. Lightning bolts illuminated the landscape every now and then, followed by rolling thunder that was crawling into the very last covert it could find where it scared both dragonkind and beastclans alike who have never witnessed such a storm before. Rain was constantly pouring down the skies and onto the earth, forming more and more puddles that would eventually grow into small ponds and streams, and freezing wind was howling around every corner and biting the skin of every creature who dared staying without shelter.

"The Stormcatcher is doing some of his experiments again, isn't he?", a young dragon asked herself silently. She was able to find refuge in a small cave beneath the Hewn City before the great storm could unleash its forces with all its might. The dragon wrapped her wings tightly around her body while she was staring into the night. Her eyes searched the tempestuous sky for the smallest sign that could help her on her journey, yet without success.
"Who am I?"

A picture began forming itself before her eyes, a picture that showed her with her family.
"I hope you are alright", she whispered when she saw her parents. They were some of the kindest and most welcoming dragons she ever met, accepting anyone into their clan who needed a place to call home, which is why she felt like her heart would break when she turned her back on her homeclan.
'I am so sorry, but I have to go', she remembered saying, 'I don't know how I can be of use to you, or the clan. I don't know what to do with my life. I don't even know what my talents are! I have so many questions about myself yet so little answers, and to find these answers, I have to leave. But I will return someday, I promise.'
The picture blurred, and the dragon found herself back in reality. "And here I am, no step closer to any answer."
She walked away from the entrance, to the very back of the cave, and curled herself up to stay as warm as possible in this uncomfortable night.

"Who am I? Just another dragon amongst millions of other dragons, no? What did I do that I could be seen as someone special? I am no more intelligent than other dragons. I am no more talented in craftsmanship than other dragons. I did not invent something that could make our day to day life easier. I did nothing for society, nothing other dragons could benefit from. I did nothing to make even the smallest of life any better. Nothing. To the universe, I am nothing. Another small nuisance at most. But wait, no, I am not nothing. I am someone -- which makes me no one.
I am No One."

A long time has passed since she had left the small cave. The great storm had lasted for three more days which gave her no other opportunity but to stay in her hideout, alone with only her thoughts as company. She came to the conclusion that she would have to move on, to use every chance that would be offered to her to find to herself and her place in this world.
Her journey already led her through the Viridian Labyrinth, the Sunbeam Ruins, parts of the Shifting Expanse and Ashfall Waste, and finally to the Reedcleft Ascent. She stood on top of a tall cliff as she noticed a Snapper approaching her.

"Excuse me", the Snapper asked, "Have you seen any harpy clans nearby? Some friendly Wind dragons told me I could find harpies living nearby. You see, I am travelling around to collect myths and stories as they are told by beastclans and dragons, though I am more interested in the beastclans' tales as we know next to nothing about them."
Niemand blinked a few times and stared shamelessly at the Snapper lady. "I'm sorry, but no, I don't think I've seen any harpy around. I'm sorry if I may sound blunt, but why are you even collecting these... tales?"
The Snapper smiled. "I've been in love with every kind of tale for as long as I can remember. There are so many stories out there. They can differ from clan to clan, from flight to flight, depending on where you are. And, of course, beastclan stories are on a whole new level of variety, so to speak. All of these tales want to be preserved so we can tell them to our children and grandchildren which is why I want to collect as many tales as possible. But at the same time, I am also trying to improve the relationship between beastclans and dragonclans. There are so many similarities that connect us, but we are too blind to see them in our hatred towards each other." A sad expression appeared in the Snapper's eyes.
"So you found your destiny, then?", Niemand asked, "You could be able to make a difference in this ongoing war. If you can make even a small percentage of dragons and beastclans listen to you, maybe then this pointless war between the different races will come to an end..."
She stopped, stared into the distance, and started thinking. Then she looked back at the Snapper. "Thank you. This should help me on my journey."
The Snapper was a bit puzzled, but she smiled as she bid the other dragon farewell. "You're welcome. Oh, there's one last thing I wanted to ask: who are you?"
"Niemand. I am No One."

Niemand thought about the Snapper's story. That, combined with her parents' role model of welcoming anyone who needed a family, led to her roaming the land of Sornieth, looking for any signs of trouble where she would then offer her support to those who are in need of it. She made friends among dragons and even among beastclans this way, and from time to time, she meets the Snapper lady -- named Feimzooryah -- and they both exchange their stories and experiences they had collected.

But whenever anyone would ask for Niemand's name, she would always give the same answer:
"I am No One."
