They wanted to make something powerful, something that did nothing that followed orders... Ah, how cruel and vicious are those who follow Stormcatcher. His parents were happy, strong and blindsided when the scientists took them from their happy home in the Windswept Plateau. Quickly and without any consideration to dosage sizes or injection sites filled their veins with so many hormones and enhancements that his father died shortly after Titus' consummation. His mother barely held for his egg to be laid. What a lovely first image for a newborn; the decaying, months-old corpse of his own mother. Titus couldn't help but imprint on what used to be his mother, clinging onto anything he could as he was swiped away from his nest to fulfill his apparent destiny. He held tight to his mother's face, until her entire head, not that it was tightly secured to the rest of her, came with him. The Lightning dragons allowed his heart-breaking memento because having the head of his mother near was the only thing that allowed them close to him. As soon as they could though, the scientists of the self-righteous clan treated Titus like a machine. They filled him with performance-enhancing medicines and elixirs. Instead of breaking him, this horrendous treatment and experiments built Titus up until he became raw, obedient power. He was uses in wars, in take-overs, he's probably forced a hundred women to mate and carry his children as a means of biological warfare. But none of this was his fault. Not that he knew what he was doing was wrong. To ensure total obedience, electrodes were implanted in his skin as both a means for punishment and incentive to go through with whatever was asked of him. The memories or thought of the clans he destroyed and the lives he's ripped apart fade away the moment he returns back to the scientists. They always collected data from his electrodes, they could read what muscles he was using, how much power he used behind each swing of his fists. They could read out the number of times he kicked someone to death, they knew just how many lives he took and long it took him. If they saw anything they did not like, anything they thought to be sub par, he was taken to the workshop. The Workshop... There, he was prodded with searing hot skewers to test reflexes. His teeth were often pulled out without warning or sedation and replaced with metal fangs, much sharper than his natural teeth. This made everything from eating to sleeping an agonizing chore. In order to keep him quiet, and docile when not in battle, his mouth was sewn shut and even cauterized in some places. When they sent him out to do their bidding, the stitches were removes and the skin that melted together was sliced open. They tried replacing his fingernails but the prosthesis ended up either snapping off or wearing too quickly. So, soon the last digit on all of his fingers were cut off and replaced with solid metal talons. Losing the feeling in your fingertips was almost maddening. It's odd how after years of being tinkered with, the removal of his fingertips were what lead to Titus' long string of rebellions. He couldn't feel anything. Whether it was the straw the broke the camel's back or the one thing he didn't want to lose, no one is certain. Titus' final revolt was less of a random strike at those around him and more of a methodical siege. Needless to say, it was hardly a challenge. Despite how they fried him with the electrodes and how they speared him with electrified javelins. His escape was not fueled by any ethical reason. Titus just hated being told what to do. Even the pain, torturous as it was, became manageable after a while. The electrodes are still in his body but they don't have any messages going through them anymore. Over time they eroded and his body's natural defense system caused them to protrude from his skin slightly. Now, they look like golden tattoos on his face, arms and legs. Realizing removing all of the prosthesis on his own without any true knowledge how they were actually connected to him, Titus still has his artificial ext remedies. Though, with a quick swipe of his metal claw, he permanently freed his mouth. He now wears a mask. As far as those who are choosing to follow him are concerned, Titus cares very little about them. Save for a sparse few who he considers his friends. Though, he isn't aware of the term. In fact, there are many words Titus does not know. -One of Titus' signature form of killing is bludgeoning others to death with his pearl. -Titus has a phobia of women he is mentally unable to address. -His mother's final words were told to him to be; 'I cannot make an orphan of my son...' -He has a very elegant Cajun accent, bordering on French. -His elemental bear familiar is simply named Bear. He is yet to make his new cat familiar but his two pets get along well though they compete at times for Titus' attention. The Harpy familiar keeps her distance and is very willing to do whatever Titus needs. -Titus' nekomata familiar named himself Ming-Xu because, oddly, he can speak. And seems to have more wisdom than any beast should. |
