They let her daughter succumb to the pressure, to the lust of riches. Oh how he wishes he could turn back time, to go back and tell her that there are people that care for her, that her family, - him - could care less about gold and coins.
But now it's too late. He sees it in her eyes. The carelessness. She's scared. She's scared of losing her power. She's selfish. He's no longer happy about his kin being in such a high position of power. That's how he brought her up. It's his fault, isn't it?
