He was expelled from his apprenticeship in the Shifting Expanse after pranking his engineering professors one time too many. Although generally good natured, he is known for taking the joke a little too far on occasion, though this rarely causes harm. Those who know him well have learned not to trust many of his seemingly innocent gestures. The only person who can expect utter sincerity from Amiri is Pastore, his boyfriend and Charge. Amiri is incredibly talented at Lightning engineering - particularly the creation and maintenance of mechanical tools. His build projects are ambitious and grand and nearly always a little OTT, but his skill can not be denied. He built both of his prosthetic limbs - the right arm for his bipedal form, and the right foreleg for his quadrupedal form. Both are Lightning-powered, fully-mobile, and completely removable, though they will not work for anyone but him. He left the Shifting Expanse as part of a trading caravan - he would trade treasure for scrap metal. But the caravan was attacked one day by beastclan raiders armed with magical explosives that they had stolen from the nearby Light Division of Commander Rezann's army. The beastclan fighters did not know how to use the explosives, which blew up prematurely and killed nearly every single person - dragon and beastclan - on the road. Amiri's right arm was blown off and the right side of his body heavily injured, and he would not have survived the bloodloss if Pastore had not arrived at the scene to save him. He and Pastore travelled together for a while, working as swords-for-hire, until they ended up at Court Dorchadas. They were guards, albeit terrible guards - both too busy trying to protect one another to do any real work (which was, for them, definitely not a bad thing). During Xandra's takeover, Amiri managed to escape with Pastore. Now a member of Clan Fuil Darach, Amiri has revived the metalworking guild and now acts as its head. |
