Biography

LIEE5fE.png
A little wizard with a knack for enchantment and conjuration. He can get a bit sharp sometimes, but is surprisingly sweet under the occasionally biting sarcasm.
The secret of his magic lies in the ley lines that cross beneath Sornieth. He has a peculiar knack for locating the greatest hubs of power, and can tap into them from a remarkable distance in a pinch. Even if a line does not carry Arcane magic, he's always somehow able to draw what he needs from the power of the land. Perhaps the staff he always carries has something to do with it.

A few of the more observant members of the clan have begun to wonder if Leon's recovery after the Rebellion was at least partially due to Jheras's influence.

As the 32nd Game drew to a close, Jheras challenged to lingering shade of Treesnek and managed to drive it out of the arena, at least for now, but at great personal cost. Thanks to Leon and Lyra, he survived the ordeal, but the magic left deep scars along his hands and arms, scars that seem to cut deeper with each spell he casts. Even small tasks are made much harder as his fingers stiffen and ache in response to the latent magic around him. Hopefully this aftermath will lessen in time, but Jheras knows it will be a long time indeed before he finally mends.

What he doesn't realize is that the pain is from shards of Treesnek's magic, introduced while he was recovering and vulnerable. It's only a little, so it has taken the Spiral a long time to figure out how to use Jheras himself as a backdoor into the arena.

The corruption of another's magic has left Jheras broken. His defenses are gone, his soul is stained black, and the magic he draws upon drew too deep. He is Shade-touched now. His mind is his own, but he knows all too well that this is something he cannot reverse.

Exalting Jheras to the service of the Arcanist will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
