Marmarin
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Arabic name meaning "like marble"

‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ If it weren't for her telltale forehead gem and antennae, you may not be able to tell that Marmarin is a skydancer. Even being only one-fourth wildclaw, she may be easily mistaken for one. Her bony head crests are elongated and her beak is full of sharp teeth. She stands upright on strong hind legs with claws, including a large sickle-shaped claw on each foot. Being slightly smaller and slimmer than a true wildclaw does not hinder her ability to catch prey, since she uses her light-footedness to her advantage. She even prefers to eat meat, much to the dismay of her majorly-vegetarian clanmates. When asked if she can feel the emotions of her prey through her gem, she neglects to answer.

‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ Why does Marmarin reside in a peace-loving clan that contrasts her personality so greatly, and why does the clan let her stay? The main reason is that she has been here so long that everyone thinks of her antics as an issue of everyday life rather than a problem to be addressed. She is also among the clan's most skilled trackers and fighters, making her a valuable member. So while she has violent and sometimes cruel tendencies, as long as she does not outright harm her clanmates, she is allowed to stay. And as long as she is allowed to live in the bountiful forest and do what she wants, she will remain here too.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ Marmarin has mothered nests in the past, but has no maternal feelings towards her children. Her son Lief still resides in the clan, but he despises her and avoids her at all costs. Marmarin is now in a relationship of sorts with a spiral named Instigator, who she appreciates because of their hectic nature. She encourages their antics and allows them to clean and rearrange her living space as much as they want.
