We have a few links that can help you as you start out:


Adopt a Newbie
This one is really good for newbies! Go to it, read the first section and follow the instructions. They'll find you a Mentor that can help you make your way through the game until you're able to fly on your own.


Light Flight Cafe
This one is useful if you have dragons that are hungry! Do not worry, your dragons will not starve and die, however, they cannot breed or fight if they're starving.


Familiar Trading Thread
and
Alder Grove Familiar Bank
These two will give you a familiar for your dragon. You will need to bond with the familiar, which is like a pet, each day to get treasure (coins). Occasionally you will also get chests from interacting with them as the familiar's bond advances to the next level. You can learn more about that here.


Taste of Exaltation
This one will give you a dragon that has been leveled up for you. This dragon will be sacrificed as an Exalt to the Lightweaver, our flight's deity. Don't worry about losing the dragon, for making this sacrifice you will be rewarded.


The Level 25 Lending Library
This one's a good one to help you get started making money and leveling your dragons for the coliseum. It's a bit of a read at first, but basically, there are players who will loan you their personal level 25 dragons to help you train your dragons for a week. If you have time and dedication, you can train a dragon or two to level 25 within that time frame.


Long Drop Coliseum Challenge
This is not for our flight, but for the whole game to enjoy. It's a coliseum challenge to give you an objective while you are working in the coliseum. Many of us don't enjoy the coliseum grinding but we do it to level our dragons for Dominance and to earn treasures and gems. This just gives you something to do, kind of a brag post, but also so you can see your accomplishments!


Light Sales forum
I nearly forgot to mention this! You can find a lot of free or cheap dragons in this forum to help get your clan started. The lair spaces gradually get more expensive, so don't worry about having tons of dragons just yet!


This game utilizes the Forums a lot! There are two flight specific forums (meaning you can only see these forums if you are in that particular flight), one is for general information and posts about the flight and the other is for in flight sales. There are also many other interesting forums to check out! I recommend the Guides Forum, Game Forum and Raffle Forum! Don't be shy, we've all been new before and many of us are willing to help you get started and help answer any questions you have!

We also have Holiday Festivals to celebrate each of the 11 Gods and their flights the last week of every month except December. Each holiday will begin at around 12AM on a Sunday, and end around 12AM the following Sunday, except Night of Nocturne which lasts two weeks and brings a rare breed to Flight Rising! (This is the only time of year it's possible to get a Nocturne egg or Nocturne breed change scroll.)
