Sabre [Merchant | Guard] |

Sabre used to be a mercenary for hire. He plied his trade throughout The Scarred Wasteland until the day he encountered Opal being attacked during one of her merchant runs. While the coatl's a formidable fighter herself, she was outnumbered and close to defeat. Sabre's not sure what compelled him to step in to help, but Opal was so thankful she hired him as her personal guard on the spot. Life in Clan Mossleaf is about as far from what Sabre's used to as it's possible to get. He finds the mostly sedate lifestyle too calm for his comfort and if he wasn't able to join the hunters Vagabond and Obsidian on their hunting trips through the depths of the Shrieking Wilds he'd honestly find it unbearable. Fortunately for Sabre, as the clan's merchant Opal regularly leaves Mossleaf to trade and she's more than happy to have a companion on her travels. Sabre's not the best at dealing with customers himself, and the jobs got a lot less fighting than he'd like but he's seeing far more of the world than he ever expected to so he figures it's a fair trade off. Admittedly it doesn't hurt that he's falling more and more in love with Opal every day. Now he's just got to work up the courage to tell her. |
