Many moons ago, Fiona majored in archaeology and anthropology at a university now since lost to time. During archaeological digs, she's been known to reminisce about ancient artifacts she uncovers as if they're her own. Of course, they can't possibly be hers... and there are a lot of possible explanations for her keen eye for dig sites...

Well, she's got tenure at the local university, so they'll have to put up with her cryptic exclamations over old pots and half-fossilized familiars for awhile yet. Maybe one day she'll tell them that she's a spirit of history, but right now, it's much more fun to pretend she isn't.

Fiona likes to wander the Shifting Expanse and Sunbeam Ruins for her research into the lives of ancient dragons, which means that she is often off adventuring with her grad students.

All her papers treat the past with an oddly familiar eye. The sections about a certain historical poet so famous for her gay writing that she created the word 'lesbian' almost read like memoir. Fiona brushes it off as a love of history.
