As a hatchling, she was given the name Crystal, due to her shimmering appearance. She always enjoyed listening to the stories about the region and other regions.

"Wherever you travel out , avoid the tangled woods, even more so than the land of fire. For those of shadow element dominate us to the point of not being able to fight back."

"Be careful in water. The last thing you want to do is get between a guardian and their charge."

"In plague should they challenge your abilities, defend yourself. Be careful there too because of all the desease."

"Dragons in fire are very hotheaded. Be careful when speaking to them."

When she had decided to leave her lair for the first time, she had kept this warning in mind. She had decided to be heading off to the Nature region, despite it being on the opposite side of the world from her.

So she set off alone from her lair, to find a new lair in her new region.

Before she could reach her destination though, her wing had been shot by a beast clan from out of nowhere, sending her falling down to the ground. Hitting the ground with a thud, she looked around, trying to figure out where she was. She had cleared her home region and was on the mainland, she just didn't know where.

It was dark, kind of gloomy. She knew she wasn't in nature territory she had desired to make a home in. She briefly remembered seeing a few figures before passing out from the impact.

When she awoke it was still dark. There was a bandage around her wing where the arrow was. Dark leaves had been placed under her in a makeshift bed. Crystal looked around to see where she was properly.
She was in some sort of encampment, but not the dragon type. Various centaurs moved around her, going about their daily activities. One of them had noticed her, and come over.

"Good, you're awake."
The centaur's accent was harsh, and it was obvious he didn't speak draconic on a regular basis.
"Where am I?"
"With my herd. We found you injured. The defectives must have seen you."

"Defectives?"
"They turned against us into their own more violent herds. Hate dragonkind."
"But what region are we in? What time is it?"

A name do loaction was useless without figuring out what part of the land she was in. I'm pretty sure I travelled quite far, and I remember passing over wind for sure. Could I be in earth? No, too many trees. Arcane? Not enough crystal. Unless I made it to nature and it's nighttime -

"Dragons call it the woods. It is halfway through the day."
Her heart skipped a beat as the realization sinked in. There was only one place where it would be this dark at noon.

Panic surged through her. She had to be close enough to continue flying in, spend as little time as possible in this wretched part of the land.

"How much time until I can fly again?" She tried to keep the sense of nervousness out of her voice.
"More time than the herd is staying here. We arranged a close by clan to take you in. They are showing up soon."

The centaur left her as she sat in fear and paranoia. The stories of how shadow dragons were supposed to act came flooding back in. The centaurs had been alright, but she knew she could trust most of them as allies. She mentally went over her list of assigned shadow traits, trying to prepare for whoever showed up, the clan she would have to stay in.
