Crinkle

An unsteady gait, three-footed, one limp limb curled up against his side. One eye unseeing, marred over with a wide, unfriendly scar. Wings too torn to fly and too small to carry him, regardless. Water that constantly drips from his fins, snout, clawtips, tail, wings.

And a good, if somewhat dark, sense of humor regardless.

Crinkle knows he's a mess. He doesn't let it get to him, much. Born on the shores of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, a run-in with Maren in his youth left him dying and wounded. He was briefly taken in by a Plague sect of DERG, where he recovered under the watchful eye of the head researcher... and was then subjected to a number of experiments aiming to heighten his magical prowess (something most of his kind lack). Unfortunately for them, it was a success.

Leaving several of their number dead or wounded in his wake, Crinkle managed to escape back into the sea. However, his useless foreleg makes swimming difficult: he couldn't stay safe in the water forever. He eventually resurfaced near Lightning territory and was found by Dreamkeeper, another strange Water-flight Mirror, who took him back to Spinehome.

Crinkle is generally a light-hearted, funny guy. He tries not to let his past influence his future, though he's still a little wary of the clan (his last one turned on him) and of the Plague dragons in particular. He enjoys cracking jokes about having sea-legs and flying, or the lack thereof.

His magic is a little wild. He's constantly wet or at least damp, usually dripping water all over the place, and he smells kind of salty. If his emotions run too high, he has a tendency to spawn little rainstorms by accident. He also has prophetic dreams on occasion.

For reasons unknown but probably related to the experiments he's been subjected to, Crinkle has switched to a vegetarian diet. He's very careful about getting all of the necessary nutrients, but this has still left him dangerously underweight.
