Biography

Glacial Archmage

No, they don't call him the Glacial Archmage because he's an ice dragon. Well, that's a part of it, I suppose... it's more about his cold personality, really.

To put it simply: he's kind of a jerk.

He's a guy with a superiority complex, but only because he's better than everyone else and knows it. One of the pioneers and great masters of ice magic and well-versed in all things arcane, anyone of lesser intelligence is considered beneath him and therefore not worth his time or breath.

And that includes other dragons.

If you fail to showcase an adequate level of brilliance at the first impression, he will forever imprint you under his list of "A Waste of Time", and you can forget ever talking to him again. Because no matter how much time passes, his eidetic memory is just an ever growing library with a special section reserved just for creatures like you. Yep, he cares just enough about you to remember that you're not worth his time--unless you've got a pretty face, but that's not important.

The only reason he's hanging around this particular section of the Shifting Expanse is to get to know Baelish--or rather, the anomaly that is Baelish. Because nothing attracts a genius like something that they haven't yet understood to its very core components.

Her very existence didn't make sense; the way she exuded power at a continuous rate, her unique connection with that crackling pearl, down to the way she can somehow sense oncoming storms that would prove a tactical advantage in their territorial disputes. Like a moth to a flame, he hovers over her at every moment she had free time, pestering her with questions that ranged from the inquisitive to the eccentric. He would throw in a pun or flirt every now and then in attempts to throw her in for a loop. It backfired every time, of course, as she often didn't care to understand the joke or implications of his words.

Or maybe that's just what she wants me to think, he assumes.

Geniuses often fail to look at things at face value, unfortunately.

What is most interesting to him, however, is her quick wit, tactical mind, and genuine intelligence that he rarely comes across. On the few occasions she's entertained a conversation with him, he is pleasantly surprised at how she can remain afloat in their more serious and academic topics despite not knowing as much. Instead, she has asked him questions that force him to think before answering. He'll never admit it, but her ideas spurred him into solving some of the mysteries that had plagued his mind for years.

Krosulhah hates him, but he couldn't care less about an inferior's opinion. Unfortunately, the vixen whispers slander into the ears of his muse, and he has been rebuked by hers truly. Knowing that his presence was only tolerated because of her nonchalance, he is forced to be civil with vermin. No matter--once he has figured Baelish out, he will have no qualms wiping out their entire sect. That would put an end to their little expansion problem, no doubt.

...though he might keep Baelish to himself afterwards. Best not to tell Yingyue when he gets home.
