 BIOGRAPHY XXXOlesya has never felt like she belonged with other Pearlcatchers. She is a tough, no nonsense sort with a stubborn streak more than a mile long and a deep love for physical combat. Quick to make decisions, once her mind is made up it is almost impossible to get her to change it. Her first few years of life were riddled with strife because all she ever wanted to do was wrestle and fight with her siblings, but they would always cry foul and get her into trouble. XXXWhen she was old enough to begin a family of her own, Olesya was matched with a male Imperial, a union that was approved by her parents. She went on to have several hatchlings with him, but she was never happy. Her unhappiness wasn’t easily hidden, either. One night, her mate sat down with her. They had a lengthy discussion about how she felt about their arranged mateship. When she revealed just how unhappy she was, her mate told her that she needed to run away. He had never wanted to force her into the relationship, and he felt like she would be better suited traveling the world and finding someone just like her. XXXLeaving everything behind, Olesya did just that. She has never returned to her family and has no idea what happened to her first mate or their children. During her travels, she came across a small family unit of Guardians with one peculiar child among the rest – a single Pearlcatcher male named Balthadios, who revealed he had been adopted by his Guardian parents as an egg. The two were fast friends due to their similar interests in fighting, and it was nearly love at first sight for Olesya. The moment she saw Balthathios, she knew he would be an important part of her life. XXXToday, Olesya and Balthadios are mates and are living happily in the Calyx Coven with their three children and five grandchildren. Olesya found her calling as a Guard of the Coven. She takes immense pride in her Guard duties and is almost always wearing her Steelscale armor. Though her mate could have easily chosen her as his Guard Lieutenant, Olesya made Balthadios choose Jiles instead because she knew the Snapper was better suited to the position. She has never regretted the decision to turn down being Lieutenant, either. XXXUnlike her mate, Olesya is happy with the choices their children and grandchildren have made. If Vivinessa is happy playing with hatchlings and teaching them to read, write, and follow their dreams, why shouldn't she? Olesya understands Balthadios more than he sometimes realizes, and she knows him so well that she knows exactly how to calm him down. Or rile him up, depending on her mood and the circumstances! XXXOlesya has a Bramble Guardian Familiar simply called Bramble. Whenever Olesya finds some free time, she will take Bramble out with her and "patrol" the edges of the territory - but what she's really doing is taking Bramble out for a really long walk! The lizard creature was a gift from Balthadios when Olesya told him she was going to have eggs. |
