The naturally bright coloration of this Plague dragon is almost a mockery of his subdued, often depressive disposition, but hardly any have the opportunity to make this observation, as Timanus secludes himself from gatherings, large or small, but especially those that contain multiple Imperials. He would not consent to this choice as being strictly a fear of his own, but for the sanity of others as well. For this reason, and for his own comfort, Timanus chose a dark profession in working with the dead, but it grants him a sense of purpose, despite that it may to some seem the opposite of what his home flight would promote. This, of course, is untrue. Though not a representative of the Plague Flight to the clan here in the Shifting Expanse, Timanus remains completely devoted to the Mother of his home flight, for who else but one born of Plague could understand death the best? When the smaller clan voted to move out of the Highland Scrub, to the border of the Lightning Farm and Carrion Canyon, Timanus did not follow completely, but found himself a cavern in the side of the canyon to settle himself and continue studying his dark arts alone, with the occasional visit by a client. He does somewhat advertise his undertaker services, but the necromancy remains unmentioned unless otherwise solicited. It’s not a pleasant ability, and taxes him greatly, so he typically only reserves it for fellow Imperials who have perished to ensure Emperors are not raised. Timanus cannot, and will not, speak of it, but he has witnessed the raising of an Emperor dragon. In the subsequent and violently short attempt to fight the creature he lost his voice. It is assumed that he has either chosen never to speak again, was scarred beyond repair at the throat, or psychologically lost the ability to utter a word. No one knows which. |
