Biography

Spearmint began life as an abandoned hatchling. Her mother had been very young when laying and, scared and confused, ditched the three eggs that she'd lain. Two of those eggs never hatched, snatched up by wild predators. By some miracle, gnarled brambles enclosed Spearmint's egg and protected her.

For an entire two days, the coatl hatchling hid in the brambles, mewling in hunger. Her cries of distress alerted a feral cat. The she-cat herself was a young mother who'd recently birthed four healthy kittens of her own. Even though she knew they were of different species, the strange cat took one look at Spearmint and saw only another baby that required her love and care.

And so Spearmint was raised as a cat under the loving eye of the cat alongside her new adoptive siblings. Even as she grew and grew, Spearmint was never made to feel like an outcast of freak. She was raised to believe that she was just another cat.

You can imagine her shock when she stumbled across other dragons.

Spearmint was out hunting when she heard one of her brothers yowl in terror. Heart beating in her chest, she flew towards the danger and threw herself between him and the threat: Lacerate. The Clan's most powerful warrior had no difficulty in pinning the inexperienced young coatl to the ground. However, when Lacerate tried to question Spearmint she soon found that they did now speak in the same tongue. Intrigued by the stranger, Lacerate lead Spearmint and the five cats back to the lair where they were heavily questioned (to no avail). Some of the wounds inflicted upon Spearmint by Lacerate required careful treatment and by the time she'd healed, some of the dragons had grown fond of the funny green dragon. Nowadays, Spearmint and her adopted family reside alongside other dragons.
