Legacy The monarch of the spirit realm fought and defeated an eldritch being who came from beyond the stars, rending it in two and sealing the two halves into the forms of dragons. The eldritch beings seem to remember nothing of where they came from and appear content to live as dragons in the Starfall Isles, but they are closely watched by many in the clan, sure that it is a ruse. When the two beings hatched a nest of four, the clan dismayed - what was to be done with the hatchlings? Two eldritch abominations were already two too many for the clan to handle should their seal break, but should they risk them being loosed on the rest of the world? The eldritch hatchlings made the dragons of the clan uneasy, for they reminded them of tales of the Shade. After much deliberation, they agreed to let the hatchlings migrate where they pleased, though there are some who whisper that they should never have been born at all... She does not understand why other dragons look at her strangely or shuffle the other hatchlings away from her. Sure, she's rather dark in appearance, but she's just a normal coatl...right? Your unreliableness is absolutely understandable, my friend. Vyarr is definately a thing that you should be uncertain about... The dragon - or should I call it creature - in front of you really seems to be a tiny coatl who never became an adult. But don't let her cute appearance deceive you. She's, in fact, a being so powerful and uncalculable... But she doesn't even know what is she capable of - yet. ---- The sky was shimmering with beautiful, pastel colors. It was late, chilly evening. Iorweth as always was serving his everyday guard to watch over the whole clan. Everything was just too still and quiet. Nothing attacked him during the past days which was really concerning. Since the eldritch hatchling joined his clan he knew something wasn't right. Some... like weird aura floats around this girl. He knows this is normal for dragons of Arcane domain - to feel their magic from afar. But her? That's absolutely different kind of magic, if that's how he should call it. Qualme, he thought immediately. She tends to ooze with really similar energy... but much weaker than this. Should I be afraid? he asked himself. He was almost sure Vyarr had something in common with the Shade. Something rustled in the bushes behind him. The only thing he saw in the darkness was 2 pairs of intensive, pink eyes, glowing in the dark. He couldn't believe his own sight. This thing did not resemble anything that he has ever saw in his life. The creature moved slightly, exhaling a weird pinkish mist. Its weirdly expressive eyes watched him curiously. Iorweth wanted to jump at... whatever it was but the sight of dead Malevolent Spirit laying on the ground caught his eye. As soon as his eyes jumped back towards the creature, the mist thickened. From beneath it fluttered a pair of dark wings and a hatchling hissed at him, sticking out her tiny split tongue. "Y-you. I don't know what you are but as long as you're-" he stopped halfway. Vyarr tilted her head at him, still silent and deadpan. "As long as you won't hurt anybody, you can stay." { Lore by Ythequeris } |
