Sometimes I feel like running away, is the only way.
| Bio Coming from the Light Flight you would expect everything to be sunny and happy. Well, not for Serenity. Serenity lived in a village of warriors, she was always told that strength was the most important thing. She was shoved into battles day to day. When she wasn't fighting, she was training, she was isolated by her mother who only wanted her to train. Day and night, she hardly slept, and hardly ate, she was miserable. But, one day her mother had to leave for a battle that Serenity wasn't eligible to fight in, so, she did what she always wanted to do, she escaped her clan. She left that night when most dragons were either asleep or in the training center. She was known as a silent fighter so it was no surprise when the guards didn't notice her leave. As Serenity made her way through the forest that surrounded her old home, She noticed something, she had no idea where she was going. She silently made her way through the Tangled Wood, then through Dragonhome, until she found herself in the Viridian Labyrinth, home of the Nature Flight. It was beautiful, large trees, clear rivers, bright flowers, it made her feel something she hadn't felt for a long time. It made her feel at peace. As Serenity continued making her way through the forest she was met by a Salve Kamaitachi. Remembering her studies, Serenity racked her brains trying to remember what it said about the familiar. Then it hit her, they are the last to arrive at any scene, and they clean up after their siblings. I wonder what happened, was there a battle? Oh no, not again. She studied the little familiar, it looked, sad? Serenity slowly leaned down and nudged the Kamaitachi with her snout. It looked up to her with its sad eyes it looked lonely too, poor thing, thought Serenity. Serenity reached into her small bag of food and grabbed some meat and gave it to the Familiar. The small cat-like creature wearily ate the food, it gradually got more comfortable, and finished its meal. Serenity gave the Kamaitachi a smile and continued on her way through the forest. After a few minutes of walking Serenity turned and saw that the Kamaitachi was still following her, she was grateful for the company he was giving her and they continued making their way through the forest. After a few days of aimlessly wandering through the Nature Flight, Serenity and her new best friend, the Kamaitachi, who she named Salvis, finally found themselves approaching a small gateway-like entrance to a clearing. In front of the clearing was a Mirror Male, he was looking straight at Serenity, Serenity could hear Salvis growling from behind her, she just rolled her eyes and lightly hit her Familiar with her tail. Serenity assumed the Mirror standing before her was a guard, which meant she was on another clan's territory, great. Serenity didn't know what to do, she was never faced with a situation like this, so, she slowly began approaching the Mirror. She kept walking forwards until the Mirror held up his talon to her. "State your name and business" he ordered her, with a dull tone in his voice. Serenity was beyond nervous, but she wouldn't let that get in the way of her, she knew what she wanted to do, she wanted a new home. So, she held her head a little bit higher and worked up enough courage to speak, "Serenity, and I'm here to ask for a place in your clan" she stated. While Serenity was waiting for a response she tried to make eye contact with the still unnamed dragon, he had to look up at her since she was significantly taller than him. When she looked into his eyes she was saddened by what emotions she saw in them, sadness, anger, loneliness, depression. Everything was silent until the mirror dragon finally spoke up, "follow me" he grumbled angrily, Serenity nodded and followed him through the gateway. When they went through, the clearing was filled with all different kinds of dragons bustling around, doing their jobs. She saw hatchlings playing around together, everything seemed so happy, as they were walking through the lair a small female Fae came zooming out of one of the wooden houses that were scattered all around the lair. Serenity watched as the Fae tackled the Mirror in what looked like a hug, this time when Serenity looked into his eyes she saw, love, and happiness. She stood quietly as the Fae spoke to the Mirror, she heard things like 'who's this? and 'oh' and 'makes sense' before she finally turned to Serenity. "Hello" she started, "my names Brys and this is my mate Impetus. We're going to take you to Ripple, our clan leader, you want to join our clan, correct?" She questioned Serenity, but she didn't have time to answer before Brys interrupted her, "of course you want to, follow me" she said, before turning to Impetus, "you go back to your post." Impetus nodded to her, and quickly rushed away, but before he left Serenity could have sworn she saw a little smile appear, then disappear almost instantly, hm she thought, he must make her happy. Serenity was happy Brys didn't talk to her much on the way to where ever she was going, but she was wondering what Ripple was like, everyone she had seen so far was quite happy, except for Impetus of course, but would Ripple end up like her old leader and force her to kill, or would she be kind and treat her as a dragon, not a killing machine. Serenity and Brys kept walking until finally, they stopped at a large oak doorway, that had small emeralds engraved in the wood, this, she thought, must be where Ripple is. Brys turned to her and smiled, "this is where Ripple is, I really like you, so, don't mess up." Serenity gave her a worried look making Brys laugh, "don't worry," she started, "Ripple is one of the nicest dragons I know, you'll be fine" And, with that Serenity was pushed through the doors, stumbling in front of the dragon that would decide her fate. |
