1st Birthday Dragon!
Binder was a warrior for a shadow flight clan, one of the more cunning and violent she has her fair share of blood on her paws. From a young age she learned how to fight and when she reached young adulthood she had been in well too many battles. By adulthood the scars of battle weight well to heavy on her soul and so she left her old clan behind and began to wander, looking for a place she could redeem herself and escape her past atrocities. When she heard of the healers of the Azurenight clan she decided attempting their teaching.
Honestly, the choice was an odd one being as Binder has absolutely no medical or magic, or technical training what-so-ever. In her mind it was a way to use her paws to help drakes instead of hurt them. When she showed up on the doorstep and requested a chance to learn with the master healers she was naturally taken in, though no one is expecting her to actually succeed in the art- she is determined, but she is a utter klutz when it comes to the practice. The counsel is trying to help her figure out another direction, most of the clan has aided with this, but Binder is stubborn and determined to learn healing. For the most part the clan, that has fallen in love with her, humors her decision. They wait patiently for the day she finally picks something more suited to her.
Binder is thankful for her new clan and very much happy where she is now- even if she is struggling to keep up with her studies. There is just one issue, the clan she left from isn't exactly the sort of clan that just lets you wander off. She was theirs and in being so she had a duty to serve until the end. This is not what happened and Binder snuck away from that duty. Now she has a price on her head, one that could put her new family in harms way. Though, out of fear of being cast back out, she's not said anything about the burdens she brings. Her secret has remained just that for years now (deep down she hopes that somehow it will just all go away and she can be happy), but not much longer with the strange things happening Blaze is determined to uncover all unknowns in the clan. Anyone that has come to them with a sketchy past he is investigating.

Her escape from her former clan was easier than she thought it would have been. She honestly, just walked out. Though, that is because no one had betrayed them before. And that is how they see it: a betrayal. And they are seeking blood as atonement for it.
Much like Dash, she for some reason thinks ignoring it will somehow make it go away. Though, as many know, if you leave a thorn in your side for too long it's bound to fester
Honey has been looking into it and getting dangerously deep. She will be the one to bring the warning to Blaze
A hunting party comes after Binder and in a desperate bid to protect her beloved new clan she attempts to leave; to draw attention away from them. Honey, Saffrin, and Neo catch her. They end up following her to confront her hunters.
The resulting struggle almost ends all of them, but thankfully, they were not the only ones that followed Binder. Myacc, Zim, and Mara pop in just in time to help. They manage to beat back the hunting party and send a sound warning that Binder was now part of their clan and any who wished to challenge that would have to face the entirety of it.
It was here that Binder realized she'd be a better medic then healer as she picked up Neo's battlefield healing quickly and actually starts to improve upon it with the lessons she learned from the healers.
She becomes the Captain of the Medics and teaches them all she knows about battlefield healing.
She still doesn't wish to fight, but every now and again she knows she has to. If for nothing else to defend herself and her patients (who are, as she discovered, her charges)
The end of her first story is the last time her former clan ever bothers Binder. Though they might make good antagonists later down the line somewhere, they will never directly challenge the clan again.
In SoD, Binder is with Hera in Breezeholm and is there when Alexster is wounded. She aids Hera, but the doctor can do nothing to save the writer from the damage he took. It is she that takes up the fight in Alex's stead so Valeria and the others can perform the ritual to save the Artist.
She is far from happy about having to take an offensive role in the battle and her discontent shows in her fighting style. After the first few that challenged her the enemy was turning around and heading for another opponent.
