The Blue Blooded Princess

B I O G R A P H Y

Aqua was born from a family of royals. Her father and mother were the monarchs of their clan. However, they weren't ordinary royals. They were royal blue bloods. The color of their blood comes from the powerful magic infused inside of it. Those who possessed such blood had great power inside of them. Their magic reservoir was unlimited. That is, they never get tired from wielding magic. This made them extremely powerful and feared.

The royal bloodline has run from thousands of generations, but not all of them were blue bloods. Only a few were gifted of it by birth. Only those few gifted can have the chance to give birth to another blue blood. Aqua's mother was able give birth to one before she died of illness. Aqua is the last of her bloodline who possesses such blood. Her father and the rest of her siblings weren't gifted of it. Therefore, this made her a treasured princess. If she dies, her unique bloodline would forever be lost.

With great power comes great jealousy from others especially from neighboring kingdoms. When their enemies heard that the Queen had died and that a single blue blood was left, they quickly plotted a sinister plan.

Aqua was only a baby when she was kidnapped. The evil king kept her existence hidden. They sent Aqua's father a bloody piece of her fur in order to make them believe that their princess was dead. What she suffered was worse than death. She was raised as a slave in the slums as mockery. She was treated harshly by everyone. Often was she harshly demeaned and pushed around.

Despite all of the hardships she went through, Aqua grew up to be a strong and beautiful dragon. Her beauty made other royals look like peasants. She was fierce and feisty. Her pride refused to let anyone mock her. She maintained her dignity with elegance and grace. Others often scowl at her for trying to act like royalty.

However, she was unaware of this great power she possessed. It made her wonder why her blood was blue. When she asked others, they sneer and tell her it was because she was abnormal and a freak. As a result, she developed an insecurity about her blood.

It wasn't long before Aqua soon discovered her potential. One day, she got into an quarrel with another dragon. It resulted in the other dragon raising its claws at her. As an immediate self-defense, a powerful magic suddenly flowed out of her which killed the her assailant on the spot.

The evil king was enraged when he head about this. He couldn't let Aqua discover her power, and so he ordered an assassin to end her life. The assassin, however, revealed himself to Aqua as the King's, her father, assassin. He told her everything from her family to her unique blood. Sadly, her kingdom was no longer to be found. After her supposed "death," the King grew ill from stress and worry. The kingdom naturally declined after that.

When her father had died, the assassin went in the enemy's kingdom in order to find out the truth about her death. He refused to believe that she was dead. It was to his relief that she was alive. He quickly told her she must escape and never come back in this territory. She was the last of her line so she must protect herself for the sake of her family.

After learning the truth and receiving warnings, Aqua with the help of the assassin escaped from the evil kingdom. She set outside of her region in hopes that no one will ever discover her. Since her identity must be hidden, she took an identity of a wandering dancer. If there was one thing she excelled at it was dancing. She wandered from region to region making others in awe of her beauty and skill.

Leaders, kings, and many others seek to have her join their clan. However, Aqua refuses to stay in one place in fear of her identity to be discovered. No one must know of her blue blood. She kept her power hidden from everyone. She feared that others may force her to use it for evil.

Aqua kept herself from everyone. Never did she stay long enough to build any relationships with others. She kept others in arm's length because she didn't want to be hindered by her emotions. No, she couldn't let herself get attached to anyone. She needed to protect herself. Nothing will stop her. Not even the pain of loneliness.

And so, this is the tale of the blue blood princess Aqua. She became famous in all over Sornieth. Her skill in dancing was admired by all. Many sought after her yet no one can ever catch this princess. She was a legend in other places. Some say that at night, if you are visited by this beautiful dancer, you could hear a beautiful song of requiem, full of mourning and regret, echoing in the moonlit sky.
