Born among siblings with unpredictable and strange powers, Sitael was actually a fairly normal child. She had no apparent powers for most of her youth, though she was always gifted in more mundane ways- Quick to learn new things, charismatic, and calm under pressure.

It wasn't until adulthood that she began to realize she possessed supernatural luck. Winning games of chance with were just the beginning. Risks of any sort were near meaningless to her - the odds against her success were always slim to none. She discovered that any course of action that introduced any kinds of random variables would turn out much better than those that others would find safe and predictable. Her luck is not immaculate, however, and moments where it fails here - ludicrously rare though they are - tend to be disastrous. Though she has learned how to make the most of this power, she has kept it a secret from everyone, even her lover, Reveille.

She was never one to be petty or mean spirited, but when she learned he had the same mission as her - to bring home goods, resources, skilled people, warriors, and in general make her family proud - it was infuriating. Where did that anger come from? Perhaps it was just painful to watch him try...
