The Horror Beneath The Waves


Sigrun rarely comes to the surface, but when the small dragon does raise himself to the shallow waters, or even to the shore, he is a pitiful sight. His body oozes with sludge and his movements are disjointed and strange as though his legs were broken and put back together badly. When in the air he whistles and wheezes as he breathes, giving the impression that he can't quite remember how to do so properly anymore.

Sigrun has lost many things while living underwater. One of those is his sense of smell, and as such he has no idea how much he smells like putrid flesh when he comes to the surface. His wings are tattered and useless, fine for propulsion in the water but not capable of flight any longer. The only dragon who seems to enjoy his company is his mate, Seina, and Sigrun has enough sense not to question why.

"Do you want to sssee the sssecretsss the watersss hold? Would you follow me down to the Dark Templesss buried under sssand and sssilt? You are welcome to follow me, but I doubt you'll look asss good asss I do when you return."

As you walk by the deep lake you hear a strange, scuttling, sucking noise from the mud near the shore. You hurry to see what it is but when you arrive there's a splash and nothing but ripples in the water. After a little searching you find a bit of metal half-covered in muck.
