Military Trainer
Being one of the strongest, if not strongest, dragons in the clan, Windchaser earned his role of teaching. He teaches the warriors and guards occasionally, but will mostly teach younger dragonets how to use physical attacks to protect themselves or fight on the battlefield. Additionally, he trains dragons that are later to be exalted. "Your scars are a warning to all future monsters, of the hell you have survived before them, every demon you vanquished, and every battle you won." A dragon who possesses strong physical strength and strong hunting expertise, Windchaser was cast into the role of teaching dragonets physical attacks and self defense. His constant talkative and cheerful mood makes him seem like a joyful, radiant type. Windchaser shares his cherub gene with his mother, a nocturne, and his current and basic genes with his father, a wildclaw. - Likes: Insects, Arachnids, the color blue, calm, silence, water, light, flying, teaching, - Dislikes: Loud noises, crowds, animals, plants, walking if having the option to fly - Secret(s): His goals, what he does outside the city - According to the Sornieth Floriography Guide, dustbowl ivy stands for "anxious to please". - Windchaser's bumble is named Arju. He's quite big for a bumble. - Venus, Help - Coliseum Getup - Windchaser used to often be taken advantage of because of his good heart. He was said to be emotionally vulnerable. - Windchaser has to deal with depression often, however, no one knows of his condition, except for his closest friend and lover: Icespitter and Ophelia. He usually vents to Icespitter, and he does his best to pull Windchaser through his difficulties. - Windchaser ran away from his birthclan as he feared and hated its duel system. Before he had left, Windchaser had participated in 37 duels, 5 of which he had lost. His injuries had included a broken wing, 2 broken limbs, a dislocated tail, and a heck of a lot of scratches and bites. - His residence is adorned with colorful trinkets. - Windchaser has a hoard of blue items. He finds the color beautiful and calming. - Ophelia and Windchaser got together after a long, long time of seeing each other. Their favorite "couple things" are watching the stars and taking strolls. Typical things, except for the fact when they resided in the Ashfall Waste. They were taking strolls on top of hardened lava and the sort, but they made the best of it. - Windhaser used to be in a relationship with the spymaster, Maeve. Their relationship had a bitter end when Maeve caught him with Ophelia. Enraged, she attacked him. Ophelia managed to pull the smaller skydancer off of him though. He had intended to tell Maeve about to the end of their relationship and have more of a peaceful breakup, but he had waited too long. - If you're gonna give him a gemstone, give him a boulder opal. He likes those gemstones. Very good. - Windchaser has a hard time sitting still and doing nothing, even harder for him to do is simply listening to someone. - His magic tends to tie in to his emotions when he uses it. - Windchaser has a small dagger and waterskin in his satchel. - A lot of Windchaser's magic relies on the fact that he can blind his enemies. He is counting on it. - Windchaser feels so, so guilty for all he has done. He tries his very best to make himself seem like a kind dragon. He tries his best to make up for what he has done. Origin Story It isn't uncommon for a Wildclaw-dominant clan to have a hierarchy that revolves around physical might and hunting prowess. Dragons in Windchaser's birthclan have the ability to challenge those who have offended them to a duel. Declining a duel in his clan would lower your rank more than it would if you lost the duel. Duels often ended in death. Duels took both his parent's and a sibling's lives. Over time, Windchaser increasingly became scared of the duels. So, he ran away. Before he ran away, Windchaser had maintained a middle class rank and had participated in 37 duels, 5 of which he had lost. He met Zhyrine, who he had begged to let him join the clan. She accepted. He is sometimes seen using this on random objects, likely out of curiosity. Blinding Sash - Windchaser focuses energy into a hot and focused slash of light magic. Light Aura - Windchaser can surround himself in light and release it to harm whoever is close enough. Photokinetic Invisibility - In places that are very much lit up, Windchaser can surround himself in light and basically disappear. Eyes of the Sun - Windchaser unfurls his wings, the eye-like patterns on his wing in full view. They begin to glow and beams of light fire down from his wings. Divine Orbit - Small balls of light magic circle Windchaser for a few seconds. He can use this to protect himself or fire at a target. Absolute Light - Windchaser blinds both allies and enemies temporarily as he shrouds the area in complete light. However, one can simply duck their head and close their eyes. If he is angry enough, the light will be so intense and hot that it can obliterate objects in its path without heat. However, that may or may not kill him or any allies. On the one instance this has happened, he was in the clinic for a month and he destroyed part of his residence. Harrowing Light - Light magic starts to flow in great amounts from Windchaser. His entire body will be shrouded in light. Others cannot look at him. Being attacked by him in this 20 second state will cause major wounds and burns. It only occurs when he is extremely furious, but will also cause extreme damage to himself as well.
