Trivia
  • Ghost is aware he is mostly machine, but doesn't know for sure just how much of his original living form is still inside him. Nikita left him his brain, eyes, tongue, and heart, which now conducts electricity rather than pumping blood.
  • Ghost misses eating most, and so Nikita kept is tongue intact so that he can taste. He can't eat, having no stomach to digest food with, but he can frequently be found with something sweet just sitting in his mouth.
  • His transition from murder to bonding is a bit odd. Some say it's because he's trying to repent. The truth is that he just really likes them.

Once upon a time there was an assassin out of legend, master of his trade and never once caught. His blameless nature left him as an unlikely suspect, he was always seemingly without motive, and there were never witnesses to his crimes... At least not that any witnesses noticed.
His fashions are commonly worn by dragons who prefer to be quick and silent, valuing speed over strength. The bright colors were meant to act as a mimicry of animals, plants, insects, and more that would display vibrant colors as a signal of poison, and the colors on the outfit are supposed to incite the same wariness in dragons. This particular assassin took it a step further, and tailored his suit more to his needs. His has twice as many layers as the average, though it looks the same. The fabric is dense yet durable, allowing for the same freedom of movement yet adding an extra layer of protection. This was not all that was different: the outer layers were infused with aconite. Aconite is a deadly poison, with an absorption rate so high a person could receive a lethal dose just by touching the leaves of the plant. Because of this, the assassin had to take care of how he would dress himself and go about his duties to avoid poisoning himself. He was not immune to it, but over 120 years he had managed to build up a resistance. He could handle more aconite in his system than the average dragon, but this still only allowed for quick touches of the outer layer of his outfit, and he was always restricted to wearing gloves. When he would kill, he'd meet the victim in a public place, in view of any who may be watching, and strike up a friendly conversation. Perhaps they'd share stories over a light snack, reminiscing about the days of godly wars. Then they would part ways, and the assassin would shake their hand in farewell. The victim would be dead by the end of the day. This great assassin came to believe himself invincible, living with a constant chance of poisoning by his own hand yet never succumbing. The assassin's name is unknown, as is his histories and lineage. All that is known are the whispers of the killer that took lives like just taking the breath from their bodies unseen. All that's known is the whispers of Ghost.

Tragedy struck when the flower from whence his poisons came ceased to grow. A plague wiped them all out, putting a stop to his works. His supply was not large, as he believed the flower would always be growing. He was wrong. In a desperate measure to maintain his practice, he switched to another source with which he was less familiar. Cyanide. He attempted to build up an immunity as he had done before, unaware of the impossibility of such a purpose. He had no idea he was putting himself on the path of an extremely painful and slow death.

After a few years of taking minuscule amounts, much smaller than a lethal dose, he found himself ill. Not drastically so, just nausea and sweats, but this quickly escalated into much worse. Not worse enough to kill him- yet- but enough to let him know he was dying. He left the metropolis where he had performed most of assassinations and went into the wild, hoping to expire where no one would see him in such a humiliating position. Dead by his own hand, covered in his own bile. Unpleasant to see, especially for someone as respected as he. He was in the Tangled Wood when the paralysis struck. He collapsed into the underbrush, unable to move but able to feel the agony coursing through his veins. He began to fear that he never would die, but would lie in pain for all eternity in the dark forest. These thoughts were interrupted by a Nocturne woman pulling his body from the dirt and taking him away. He lost consciousness.

Ghost now lives again, albeit different from what he was used to. The world feels different, he feels different. No matter his feelings, he swore off murder, especially poison. Though he doesn't feel as if poison could hurt him much now...
