"quote here" They saw a beautiful horse by the water, one in emerald and obsidian glory. They laid their hand upon it and the waves devoured them. ________________________ He thought that the fighting would kill him. The whips against his back would bleed him dry; but as he reached up to the sky above him, tasting the swampy water push against his tongue and force down his throat Izaiah knew this was the end. His time above water had been nothing but a great, violent brawl. Struggling every day of his life, so much that Izaiah had forgotten what it was to feel pain and sorrow. In these fleeting moments before his demise, Izaiah had felt more than he had in his entire existence. A sword would not take his life, but instead it would be the burning in his lungs, the air departing in frantic bubbles from his mouth. The air bubbles carrying his silenced cries that no one would hear. In a last attempt to struggle against the decayed creature that pulled him down, Izaiah opened his wings and made an attempt to escape above water, but it was too late and darkness swallowed him whole. It was there, in the depths of his watery grave did Izaiah realize that he was alone. |
"quote here"
His body was long since gone, his
bones one with the seaweed and kelp at the bottom of the lake. His soul lurked beneath the water's surface for many years before a shadowy hand lifted him from the water. His hand, renewed, by the shadowy hand grasped desperately at the grass and mud to pull himself up onto land. He coughed trying to rid himself of the water in his lungs but it would never leave him. His heart would never beat again, and the gentle rhythm had been replaced by a constant burning of the water that resided in his lungs. His kind patron had given him a half-life to exist in the realm of the living once more. Izaiah opened his mouth to wetly sputter a thank you, but the dragon, he dared to call it that had vanished. Izaiah looked around the dark realm and wandered aimlessly in an unknown direction until he found a place to rest, but his lungs have never ceased aching. - lore by CaesarAugustus |
