PARISA
"Always keep that little place where MAGIC grows inside you."--Project Happiness
"Always keep that little place where MAGIC grows inside you."--Project Happiness
The glow of the bright pink spires of the Reach still penetrates the Starwoods, it wasn't as soft as sunlight and Parisa is so use to the magical glow through the boney branches of the luminescent trees that she hardly has an issue falling asleep after making sure her flock, her clan was well and off to dreamland.
Her up right and alert ear flaps wriggle at either side of her head as she voicelessly glides across the clearing and ground to tree top arcane crystal dens that house the smaller dragons. Her imperials and spirals wrapped and knotted themselves outside at the base of these dens protectively so she flies just a little higher so she does not disturb their slumber. When she does land, it is at her own nest, cold and lonely at the highest point of her territory in the Strand so she may watch over her clan in peace. The night blooms of the trees surround her in a clean, floral scent that lulls her into tired compliance as she too, scurries into her nest. She cast one last looked down at her dragons below and with a silent nod to herself, she settles own for the night. Parisa is currently the lone leader of the Daydream Clan located in the Starwood Strand in the Starfall Isles of the Arcane Flight. Like most Fae she is a mostly nonverbal speaker as what she could say or emote is just as easily seen through her body language. That isn't to say she won't speak at all, she understands the different races find the Fae's communication skills to be less than helpful to the more vocal dragons and thus is perfectly willing to adapt to another's needs. She is an even-tempered, calm dragon, that not completely open and friendly to strangers shows a certain level of politeness that can often pull dragons into following her pace.
HISTORY
Parisa came from a clan of good standing. She was no heir and just one of the masses amongst the dozens of clutches born in her generation. Her mother is a scribe for the Arcanist while her father worked as a Healer. She grew up amongst the Spires and starry sky well in close proximity to the Lighthouse due to her parents works as the clan lived in suspended crystaline dens across the sheer cliff leading down into the ocean and to the lone island where the Lighthouse stands. She, like many her age and standing spent her days studying and controlling her power over the arcane. It was a peaceful life, she was to be promised to another fae she grew up with. Of course Parisa wasn't particularly interested in settling down anytime soon, she was still young and liked to fly off into the Star Woods every now and then to watch the night blooms. However, after a great disaster, where many of the crystals her clan resided in fell into the ocean their leader had no choice but to send off some of residence. The her parents worry, she was one of the chosen. Parisa loves her family dearly, but the chance to run off and her unyielding curiosity to her Flights territory was stronger and she agreed to go off on her own. Enter Clan Daydream and Parisa, while still young and easily distracted has settled into a role she didn't think was her calling. The dragons around her are from all different walks of life, but that only makes her happier as she learns from them and asks question upon question.
CHILDREN
She doesn't love Kyou. Yes, she had a clutch with the stoic drake, and he was a wonderful mate for her first children. But it was her first season and Parisa did not think it wise to try and force the feelings of wanting company down. Kyou was kind enough to help her along and they are good friends still now, even after he met to love of his life. It was a small clutch and watching over three levitating purple eggs is a lot less exciting than a mother would describe. But Kyou kept her company and hunted for her as a good mate would and he doted on their hatchlings until they were old enough to be exalted to their Patron Deity. Parisa was not able to both care for hatchlings and her clan and Kyou understood this, it was their first clutch for the both of them and doing what was best for their children is was good parents do. Yamasu is a sweet little beast, whom she found as an egg whilst digging around with Kyou and Saranyu. She had sent the unhatched Yamasu to one of the nesting mothers of her clan and the warm, sand colored ice dragon was born. Parisa did no plan to be mated with the hatchling as soon as his first season came about. But he insisted and he pleaded with words she does not comprehend as much as the sweet touches he gives her because he learned quickly actions speak louder than words for her kind. There is, of course, a sort of affection for the youngling whom she lets father her second clutch. Her largest, how in the world is she to take care of five eggs with so many young things already scampering about and three more on the way? He is still new to the world and he wants her to help him experience the next best thing to him then she would grant him this. And in time when he is older, when he can better control his urges to find a mate, to find a dragon he can be completely enthralled with, then surely they can look back at this moment and be thankful for the experience. Because that is all she can give right now. An experience, a kind offer as a friend.
LEADERSHIP
It wasn't that she wanted to go off on her very own adventure, or make a point. It simply happened because her flock had grown too large to support everyone, so those old enough were sent out to begin clans of their own. Parisa couldn't complain and neither could the dozens of other fae sent out across the Starfall Isles. And to a point, yes, it was kind of fun to be out on her own, looking for an unclaimed piece of land or rock to call just her own. But then she was joined by a grumpy Tundra named Gorlassar. One dragon became two, then three, and then an imperial with issues with the gems bound on her body originally from the Plague Flight stumbled upon her in her quest to visit the Arcanist for a way to rid her body of her gems. Her name was Ithima and she quickly became a friend to Parisa. It was months later when she had time to slow down and catch her breath after relocating from the Spires to the beautiful Star Wood that she realized she had collected a group of dragons all looking to her for guidance and the tiny, wide eyed Fae barely old enough to bare a clutch of her own found herself in a position of leadership she wasn't particularly looking for. Ithima helped her a great deal, she was older than her and far more mature compared to the young Parisa that still liked to wander off to go poke at things she didn't know the names of or get lost the the archives of the Arcanist when those more magically inclined were asked to assist in their reverent Flight leader in whatever reseach had caught his fancy. When days like those cropped up, Ithima was more than willing to let her go off and do her thing and keep the others from burning down the woods they called home. She made a point telling her that it was best a young dragon get all her wanderlust out of their system before they completely take over a leadership role. Parisa, however, wonders if she would ever loose the instinctual need to learn new spells or poke things, or fly off because something caught her eye and she wants to follow it. |
