R H I O The Nonbeliever Wind Representative and Diplomat Self-Conscious / Learned / Aloof / Non-Compliant Rhio has established himself as the clan atheist, he may be the wind ambassador, but he has no connection to any deity, only his flight. He gets defensive around dragons who talk openly about the deities and anything about supporting them. At Rhio's standpoint, the deities are gone, Nonexistent, not evident anymore. All there is that exists in sornieth is the dragons who live and die in squalor, never truly getting what they want because they are purely mortal. This caused problems when Idavale was destined by the Gladekeeper to lead the clan. He protested extensively to prove that judging a false god's judgement over their own is blasphemy, evidently, his argument was overruled by Ameyla. This disbelief of any higher powers takes roots in his home clan, his parents were firm believers of deities and sightings of them, like they were some cryptic or extinct creature. They got carried away one day while searching for the Tidelord, traveling to the deep ocean with their young hatchling in tow. Rhio doesn't know what happened to them, only that they went into the water and never came back up. Rhio was left orphaned, yet taken in by Ameyla and Jury when he found his way into light territory. He hates any dragon who worships higher powers, like they would actually listen and protect them, because of how his parents disappeared.
