Koshmaar does not fly, settled into his mildewed hillock, at home in the muck. His wings are laden with grime and webbing, the membrane beneath as patchy as the layers on top. For him, Deathbell soars the skies nightly, returning with prizes--stories, adventures, treasures brought home. Always home to his knoll. He builds her nest by day, slowly dragging over decayed plants and broken rock fragments, hardy decorations that will--as he does--withstand the poison that seeps from her wings like moth scales.

Their hatchlings are raised with their example of lifelong dedication. And an immunity to most biological toxins.
