Biography

Draccus are a creature from the pages of the Kingkiller Chronicles, a series of 3 books written by Patrick Rothfuss. The first 2 books are "The Name of the Wind" and "A Wise Man's Fear", the third book has not been released.

The Draccus are a large flightless reptilian creature. Their ability to breathe fire has forever spun them into dragon mythology. The large beast is a primarily a herbivore, feasting on trees and rocks which help break down the wood of the trees within their stomachs as they move.

The large reptile can be aggressive toward people and is attracted to fire and light which makes the beast a problem during ceremonies and festivals where bonfires are plentiful.
