"I did?" I ask, absently randomising names for my new dragon.
"Yeah," my friend tells me over skype, guiding me through creating an account on Flight Rising, "basically the female progenitor is randomly generated, so you could've gotten some disgusting colour combination, but she's not that bad."
"Oh." I say, closing the naming box to look at her again, before going to edit her name. I stop, and stare. "Um." I say, slowly but surely coming to the realisation that I have just made a terrible mistake. Hoping I'm wrong, I weakly ask, "can you not edit their names once you've named them?"
"No?" My friend replies, "what did you-? Oh my god."
