He has the gift of true sight. It grants him the ability to see a dragon's soul. He can see their strengths and weaknesses. Who they love and hate. Most importantly he can see their possible futures, every path that may lead to riches, redemption or ruin. If Thanatos had been a more noble soul he would preach and give guidance. Instead he uses every future he sees to his benefit, any soul that will not contribute to his growing kingdom is turned away none the wiser of why they ever took their new path. Whether or not he is a liar can be up for debate. Not all fall under the spell that he's created. Some are either completely oblivious of its effects trying to get at them, sometimes left feeling uncertain after their conversation and wariness towards Thanatos. Others can feel a force trying to cloud their judgment and its up to one's own strength of mind to save them. Those who are experts in magic can pick up it quite easily but Thanatos is quick to drop his honeyed words. Usually after he will go on to appraise the other for not being weak of mind. He'll offer an alliance, if denied the two leave on bitter grounds. When the exchange turns dangerous, Helios is not far from his king with a fire lit blade at his side. He won't admit it but Thanatos is not at the raw level of power as he'd like to be. Still young. Still weak. His arising clan had been named The Gilded Sun. His side of the clan was composed of political ties and often funded archaeologists' projects. Their library was mostly home to important documents. The real treasure within was archives of the archeological finds they funded. Relics of power, pieces of the original pillar, priceless antiques, and the most precious forbidden grimoires uncovered. |
